According to data from the 2020 U.S. Census, almost 1 in 4 people are not registered to vote. A healthy democracy depends on people who are willing to participate–and encourage others to do the same.
On Thursday, September 10, BigTentUSA was joined by Chyann Sapp, Coordinator for National Voter Registration Day, to promote voter registration by organizing registration drives in your communities in the lead up to the 2026 midterm elections.
Chyann discussed the work NVRD is engaging in to get people registered amid ever increasing challenges, and how registering to vote, staying informed, and showing up can help strengthen our democracy. She also touched upon how people can organize voter drives in their own communities, one voter at a time.
